NOTE: The Parish of St. Thomas
is not in irishtownlands.ie, but can be seen on Griffiths in Barony of Dublin
City. St. Thomas Parish was west of St. George’s Parish and north of St.
Mark’s Parish. The Church of Ireland Parish of Drumcondra and North Strand covers Ballybough and is bordered to
the west by the Parish of St. George and St. Thomas. Ballybough Bridge: The Ballybough Road crosses Ireland's
Royal Canal on a stone arch bridge in the North Strand neighbourhood of
Dublin. North Strand is probably the road on the north shore of the Liffey. According
to Dublin Street Names, it was renamed Amiens
Street, and in 1673, it was under water.
