Dear Mrs. Wright: [1]  

            Some little time has elapsed since I wrote you & as this letter bears sad news I am sorry to have to write now, but wanted you to know that dear Aunt Anne [2] passed away on March 16^th after a long lingering illness. Even though we knew that  the end was not far off still it is a shock to lose some one who is dear to your heart.
            No doubt you knew of the operation 2 years ago & the removal of a breast. Since last Spring she has been back and forth to the hospital for radium treatment & the last time she returned home the week before Xmas. Since then she failed fast – the disease reaching to her lungs. Words cannot describe the suffering she endured but bless her she is at rest now.
            Aunt Elizabeth [3] is holding up very well and like the rest of us will have to try & bear our great loss with fortitude.
            Aunt Anne was very dear to me & I shall always cherish in my memory our trip to the Old Country & the happy times we had and my pleasure in knowing you & the joys of your kind hospitality.
            I hope you and Mr. Wright [4] are enjoying good health as well as your family.
            Would enjoy hearing from you any time Mrs. Wright meantime please accept my kindest regards and best wished to Mr. Wright and yourself.
