JACKSON, daughter of Henry JACKSON (another activist in the United Irishmen
with connections to Ballybay). He died in suddenly and in somewhat mysterious
circumstances in Newgate Prison in 1798 after his arrest for his role in

an estate at Inane, parish of Roscrea,
county Tipperary in the 19th century and family members practiced as
lawyers in Dublin. Peter Jackson was registrar to Lord Norbury and James
Fraser in his ''Guide through Ireland'' (1838) records Peter Jackson of
Inane, county Tipperary. Henry Vincent Jackson is recorded as assistant to
Peter Jackson in the ''King's Inns Admission Papers''. This source also
records four sons of Henry Vincent Jackson and his wife Sarah Warburton, namely George, Frederick,
Peter and William. At the time of Griffith's Valuation the Jackson estate was
located in the parishes of Bourney, Roscrea and Templemore, Barony of
Ikerrrin and Fertiana, barony of Eliogarty. 355 acres held under a fee farm
grant dated 1861 by Frederick Bridge from Frederick A. Jackson at Carrick, Barony
of Ikerrin, was advertised for sale in February 1869. In the 1870s Henry
Vincent Jackson of Inane owned 1,088 acres in county Tipperary and 1,765
acres in King's County (Offaly) while William H. Jackson of Inane owned 363 acres
in county Tipperary. |

of Cork Street aforesaid cotton manufacturer and son of the said Samuel JACKSON
of the second part. Elizabeth LAMBERT now the
city of Dublin spinster of the third part and Nathanial JONES of Sackville
Street in the said city of Dublin in Shoemaker of the fourth part. Which
after reciting among other things that a marriage was then shortly to be had and solemnised between the said Joseph JACKSON and the said Elizabeth
Lambert and that by indented deed of lease by way of lease and release
the 20th day of November 1788 made between James JACKSON then of
the city of Dublin, Delf manufacturer of the one part and John Grimshaw there
in named of the other part the said James JACKSON for the considerations
therein mentioned did demise and set release and confirm upon the said John
Grimshaw then in his actual possession by virtue of the bargain and sale
therein mentioned all that and those the piece or parcel of land formally
called the small part or field containing 102 perches and 20 perches of land
in the field call the church medal likewise 49 perches of land taken in added
thereto and then and pounds together with the two paper mills built on said
premises and all drying laughs out offices dwelling houses, gardens and improvements
there on together with the River of Kilmashoge and the use and benefit of
several mill races no ponds streams and rivers then belonging to said Mills
which said premises are part of the lands of Clarkstown measured and bounded
as therein mentioned. … . For three lives and the yearly rent of £100 payable
half yearly as therein with covenant for perpetual renewal there in
contained, and that the said Samuel JACKSON became legally possessed of and
entitled unto the interest of the said John Grimshaw … And David
LaTOUCHE, Junior of morally in the County of Dublin Esquire for the
considerations therein mentioned did demise release and confirm unto the said
Samuel JACKSON all that part of the lands of Clarkstown on the West side of
the road leading from Dublin to Kilmashoge in the parish of white church and
County of Dublin containing by survey 5 acres three roods and 13 perches more
or less to hold to the said Samuel JACKSON his heirs and assigns for the term
of three lives there in named with a covenant for perpetual renewal when payment
of £2.14 shillings renewal … In consideration of his natural love and affection
