There are sheldrakes in the family crest of the Jacksons of Ederthorpe – as in the family crests of the JACKSONs of Coleraine.

  • JACKSON (Hickleton, County York, Bart, extinct 1727; descended from Sir John JACKSON, Knight, temp. Queen Elizabeth, whose grandson, John JACKSON Esq. of Hickleton, was created a baronet in 1660) Gu a fesse between three sheldrakes ar.
