years, universally regretted and lamented, not only in the USA
but almost in every mercantile city and town in Europe, where
the name of OLIVER was well known. For 50 years he was one of
the most extensive, respectable and liberal merchants of that
city. He was originally from Trooperfield near Lisburn and went
out early in life to Baltimore, where by his industry and application, he
realised a princely fortune. Therefore
