For at least a century, there was an almost unbroken line of very
closely related JACKSONs serving in the Irish House of
Commons 1692-1800. During this century, there were several other representatives
who were closely related to them by marriage, GORGES and BERESFORD chief among
them. See also: Wikipedia Irish House of Commons.and.Leigh Rayment's: Irish House of Commons 1692-1800

Update: February 2, 2023 Fixed broken link for Leigh Rayment's: Irish House of Commons 1692-1800. NOTE: In Rayment's link, George JACKSON is described as George JACKSON (1770-1846) of "Fort Hill, Co. Armagh. Until yesterday, I had suspected this should be Forkhill (which is in Armagh), not Fort Hill - but am now uncertain (Thanks to the research work of Jan Waugh). George JACKSON (1770-1846) is described on a Wikipedia page with the same dates as given in Rayment's link and also in the book:

Initially, I had assumed that this Sir George JACKSON (1766-1840) of Forkhill, Co. Armagh had assumed the seat after the death of his father, Sir Richard JACKSON (abt 1730-1789), however the dates are different for this George JACKSON (1770-1846). He was suposedly of "Fort Hill, Co. Armagh". There is a Fort Hill in Randalstown, Co. Antrim. Randalstown is beside Shane's Castle where Sir Richard's wife came from. There is also a Forkhill in Co. Armagh. |
